There’s the way major studios would like you to look at it — the endless piecemeal hype, the deliberately vague posters (“HP7”), the carefully cut trailers, the awkward sequel subtitles (“On Stranger Tides”) — and then there’s the other way, the off-screen way: the budget rumors, the hidden IMDb credits, the dead-body counts, the studio politics.
